Description

Flat round piece of goatskin with or without hair, premium quality. Thickness: Thick- approximately 0.02 of an inch. This equates to the approximate thickness of 5-6 sheets of printer paper.

Select skin size based on the size of your current djembe head (measure slightly beyond playing surface). Skin will be delivered over sized to allow for working space. You'll need to trim excess skin when re-heading is complete.

Sizing:

This size fits drum head diameters up to 14 in.

The actual diameter of the skin is 16 in.

NOTE: Returns will not be accepted for replacement drum skins. Please double-check with the manufacturer of your instrument to ensure that you are purchasing the correct head for your drum.

    I repair Djembes as a hobby and for fiends as needed. I like bringing life back to these beautiful instruments. My first drum repair was using an X8 skin and the drum sounded great but I wasn't sure if I would continue to use the skins because of the branding. I tried skins from other supplier that didn't have branding and now I understand :) That's why I only use X8 premium skins!

    It was first time replacing the skin on my 13 year old drum. I looked in San Antonio, couldn't find a replacement so I ordered from x8. Then I changed my order the next day. Customer service was great, fast shipping. My drum sounds great. Lesson learned - don't use yarn to hold the wet skin on the drum. The die from the yarn comes out and dies the skin! Looks kind of cool though.
