These two Special Edition Snare Cajons are a fusion of the dry, mellow sound of the traditional Peruvian Cajon and the lively buzz of the Flamenco-style snare cajons. The box frames are constructed using solid panels which are painstakingly crafted at A Tempo from hand-cut solid wood blocks. Tropical Walnut, Purpleheart and Mohena are combined in striking mosaic and pinstripe patterns and then finished with a furniture-grade gloss finish. Using a design pioneered by A Tempo, the snares are placed in the top corners allowing for a clear separation of the snare and bass sounds as well as a crisp, snappy slap tone. As with all A Tempo Cajons, dovetail joinery and a proprietary tapa assure a sturdy instrument with a punchy, musical tone. Free padded gig bag included.
