MAIA Conference Gives Drumming Lesson for Senior Living
Recently, over 275 people participated in the annual Mid-America Institute on Aging (MAIA). Held at the University of Southern Indiana, the MAIA is a two-day event focused upon relaying information that helps caretakers of older people. Drumming sessions were offered as a tool for helping the older generations age successfully. According to the article in the Evansville Courier & Press, the institute also addressed dementia and how to approach aging with humor in order to provide a positive impact. That region of the country has a higher than average population of people over the age of 65, making the conference vital. Read more here:
