Description

X8 Drum Tables are masterfully carved of a single piece of legally harvested Mahogany hardwood, designed to produce the deep, resonant bass tones. The drum heads are made of cow hide to enhance heavy tones and eliminate ringing overtones.

These Drum Tables can also be used as decorative coffee tables. Just place a piece of round glass on top to protect the drum head.

Typically played with included mallets, the X8 Drum Tables are a great instrument for music therapy, classrooms as well as music ensembles seeking a warm bass line.

    These X8 Table Drums are very difficult to get. I started a project, in 2022, to acquire a 14 inch to play separate parts to West African polyrhythms as a pair, with foot pedals, in conjunction with my 17 inch X8 table drum, which also took almost a year to get. Together, they sound great, once the drums were tuned with a Mali weave. I am so grateful I got the set completed.

    It's both. As advertised, thunderous raw bass tones that give compositions a unique foundation over traditional low end means. Bravo X8!!!

    Very nice, with 1 'but'

    Solid, dense, heavy wood. Good looking and nice bass tone. The beaters that came with are about 1 inch different in length, and also different in thickness. Would have been nice to be more matched. Otherwise happy with the purchase.
