Description
Originating in Africa, the Shekere is played by rapidly shaking and tossing the shell in the player's hand, generating its distinctive rattle sounds while hitting the bottom of the shell with the palm to create drum-like bass tones. The X8 Drums Fiberglass Shekere is made to look and sound like the traditional instrument, which was made from hollowed gourds. The fiberglass shell allows for added incredible durability without sacrificing the traditional tones of the percussion hand drum.
